Doha — The Qatari capital is set to host the inaugural Gulf Minifootball Cup, scheduled to take place from April 1 to April 5, 2026, under the supervision of the International Minifootball Federation (IMF). All Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations have officially confirmed their participation in the landmark tournament, which holds significant importance for the region.
The official draw ceremony is expected to take place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Al Aziziyah Boutique Hotel within Aspire Zone, whose world-class facilities will also host the tournament matches. Aspire Zone is widely recognized for its outstanding sports infrastructure, ensuring optimal conditions for a successful and professionally organized championship.
Mohammed Mubarak Al-Muhannadi, former Qatar international player and Tournament General Director, stated that Qatar continues its tradition of successfully hosting and organizing major sporting events. He expressed his appreciation to Aspire Zone Foundation for hosting the tournament, commending their efficiency, professionalism, and swift completion of all organizational requirements, which reinforce confidence in the tournament’s success.
He also extended a warm welcome to the participating Gulf delegations, inviting them to Doha — a city known for its hospitality, unity, and sporting excellence.
