In a grand inauguration ceremony held in Jakarta, Dr. Yan Abidin officially assumed the presidency of Indonesian MiniFootball after the approval of its Board of Directors by the Chairman of the Indonesian Sports Committee, General Marciano Norman. The Indonesian Sports Committee is the supreme authority over sports federations and games, with the blessing of the Indonesian Ministry of Sports. The ceremony was attended by Undersecretary of the Ministry, Mr. Khairul Adha, and representatives of the Indonesian Olympic Committee.
The ceremony was also attended by Dr. Mohammed Al-Dosari, President of the International MiniFootball Federation, following an official invitation from his brother, Dr. Yan Abidin, who considered his presence a major step and a significant addition and support for Indonesian MiniFootball.
The Indonesian city of Surabaya is witnessing the launch of the strongest official MiniFootball tournament, with participation from all of Indonesia’s states and regions.
Dr. Al-Dosari promised to provide support for the development of technical and administrative personnel and to contribute to the spread and development of Indonesian MiniFootball, so that it may become an Asian destination and a major international center.
