Iraq Kurdistan and Lebanon Advance After 1–1 Draw
Iraq Kurdistan and Lebanon booked their places in the semi-finals of the 2025 Women’s Minifootball World Cup following a 1–1 draw in a highly competitive clash on Saturday evening at Cihan University Stadium.

The match, attended by Director General of Sports Serdar Ismail, his deputy Hawri Rawandzi, IMF President Dr. Mohammed Al-Dosari, and IMF Vice President Ahmed Samir, drew a strong crowd, with notable support from women in the stands cheering for the host side.

Lebanon struck first in the opening half through Lea El Douaihy, giving her team the advantage. Iraq Kurdistan responded after the break, with coach-led substitutions sparking renewed attacking energy. Derin Mahmoud leveled the score with a powerful strike, restoring balance to the match.

With the draw, both teams moved to four points, with Iraq Kurdistan topping Group A and Lebanon finishing second. Both sides now advance to the semi-finals, keeping their championship dreams alive.

Brazil Overcome Egypt 4–1 as Both Progress
In Group B, Brazil continued their dominant run with a 4–1 victory over Egypt on Saturday, also at Cihan University Stadium. The game was attended by senior officials including Serdar Ismail, Hawri Rawandzi, IMF President Dr. Mohammed Al-Dosari, and IMF Vice President Ahmed Samir, along with a vibrant crowd of Egyptian and Brazilian supporters that created a spirited atmosphere.

Despite Egypt’s energetic attacking display, Brazil controlled the first half with two quick goals. Egypt pulled one back from the penalty spot in the second half, but Brazil’s experience prevailed as they added two more goals to seal a convincing win.

The result secured Brazil’s place at the top of Group B, while Egypt advanced as runners-up.

Semi-Final Lineup Set
The semi-finals will take place on Sunday, with Brazil facing Lebanon and Egypt meeting Iraq Kurdistan in what promises to be two exciting encounters.
