The Lebanese Minister of Sports, Dr. Noura Berqadarian, received in her Beirut office the delegation of the International Minifootball Federation (IMF), headed by Dr. Mohammed Al-Dosari, accompanied by the IMF Secretary-General Hussain Al-Asam, Director of International Relations and Vice President of the Asian Minifootball Federation Khaled Al-Hadeed, President of the Lebanese Minifootball Federation Ahmed Danch, and President of the Palestinian Minifootball Federation Hussam Al-Hussein.
Minister Berqadarian warmly welcomed the visiting delegation, which is in Lebanon for a three-day official visit, and expressed her appreciation for the IMF’s global efforts in promoting and developing the game across member nations. She praised the Federation’s progressive vision and its modern strategy for expanding the sport’s reach internationally through well-structured programs and partnerships.
The Minister emphasized that Lebanon attaches great importance to diversifying its sports landscape and views minifootball as an emerging discipline capable of inspiring youth participation and fostering social engagement. She also expressed her readiness to support the IMF’s initiatives, including hosting regional and international tournaments in Beirut, which she described as “a natural hub for sporting and cultural exchange.”
Dr. Al-Dosari, for his part, thanked Minister Berqadarian for the warm hospitality and generous reception, noting that the Federation is eager to strengthen its collaboration with Lebanon through technical, developmental, and organizational cooperation. He also commended Lebanon’s growing interest in minifootball and its potential to become a regional model for the sport’s growth.
The meeting concluded in a spirit of mutual respect and optimism, marked by the exchange of commemorative gifts and a shared commitment to advancing the development of minifootball in Lebanon and beyond.
