IMF President Al-Dosari Meets Libyan Minister of Sports to Boost Minifootball Developmen

Tripoli — As part of the International Minifootball Federation’s (IMF) strategic plan to expand support for the sport across Africa and globally, Dr. Mohammed Al-Dosari, President of the IMF, met with Libya’s Minister of Sports, H.E. Dr. Fouad Barghash, during his official visit to Libya.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Mustafa Al-Masli, Vice President of the IMF and President of the Libyan Minifootball Federation. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the IMF and the Libyan federation to promote and develop minifootball nationwide.

The visit marks the first stop in the IMF’s African outreach program, which aims to assess the needs of African nations and provide targeted support to expand the sport both locally and continentally. Key initiatives discussed included organizing specialized workshops, delivering certified training courses, and developing technical and administrative personnel through internationally accredited IMF instructors, with the support of the Libyan Ministry of Sports.

Both sides also explored Libya’s potential to host regional and international minifootball tournaments in the near future, highlighting the country’s readiness to play a greater role on the global stage.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Barghash expressed his sincere appreciation to Dr. Al-Dosari for visiting Libya and for the IMF’s commitment to empowering nations, particularly Libya, through sports development. He affirmed the ministry’s full support for initiatives that will enable Libya to successfully host sporting events, especially in minifootball, which continues to gain strong popularity both locally and internationally.

Dr. Al-Dosari, in turn, thanked the Libyan Minister for the warm reception and generous hospitality extended to the IMF delegation.

The meeting concluded with an official luncheon held in honor of Dr. Al-Dosari and the accompanying delegation.
